ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

JOB DUTIES/TASKS
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons through cleaning and organizational tasks.
• Provide information about Aquatics programs to patrons.
• Greet patrons and monitor facility access.
• Participate in a customer-focused and team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic point-of-sale and cash handling practices and procedures, with the ability to learn job-specific applications and equipment.
• Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
• Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with colleagues, managers, and patrons.
• Lead and work effectively with individuals of all ages.
• Observe and support safety requirements and regulations established by the Director and/or Recreation Board.
• Attend all scheduled training sessions and staff meetings.
• Answer phone inquiries and assist patrons with questions.
• Process point-of-sale transactions for entry and concessions.
• Enforce facility rules and educate patrons about them.
• Inform Manager of equipment or concessions needs.
• Perform assigned duties as directed by Manager.
• Complete required records and reports, submitting them to Manager.
• Perform maintenance, cleaning, and other assigned tasks.
• Inspect the facility daily and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to Manager.
• Communicate effectively in person and in writing, fostering positive relationships with diverse individuals.
• Follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Duties are frequently performed under conditions where noise, heat, dampness or cold are unavoidable.
• Work environment may involve occasional exposure to occupational hazards, biohazards, and physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• No experience necessary “Willing to train”.
• Any combination of training and experience with concessions, preferred.
• Ability to work weeknights and weekends.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds or heavier lifting with other employees.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the positions.
• Ability to pass background check if over 18-years-old.
