Job Title: Enrollment Counselor
Location: Sheridan, WY

Job Summary:
The Enrollment Counselor helps prospective students make a connection to Sheridan College. S/he works with individuals of all ages in helping them understand their educational opportunities and pathways to graduation.

The Enrollment Counselor is an upbeat and positive person as s/he serves as the face of a continually growing and dynamic organization. The Enrollment Counselor provides excellent customer service to prospective students and all members of the college community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Support the Enrollment Services One-Stop concept and provide quality customer service to members of the college community.
Coordinate and conduct on-campus and off-campus recruitment activities for traditional and non-traditional prospective students, including school visits, college fairs, campus tours, and special programs. 
Provide guidance and direction to prospective students and their families regarding the college admissions process. Provide in-depth admissions counseling for new students.
Provide essential support and advising for prospective students. Assist students in preparing their education plans and registering.
Effectively utilize Colleague admissions module & Recruiter software.
Assist with advertising/marketing programs and preparation of publications.
Promote good relations with outside institutions or groups which can be helpful to attract quality students.
Perform related duties as requested.

Self-starter and ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
Analysis and problem-solving using creativity, good judgment and initiative
Sensitivity to and respect for the various populations we serve
Experience in public speaking and presenting to groups
Experience with MS Office Suite and CRM tools
Experience working collaboratively with a variety of constituencies ranging from community members, schools and college students to faculty, staff and families

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
 
Extensive travel required.
Some evenings and weekends.
Some lifting required
 
Minimum Qualifications including education, experience, required licensures, certifications, and registrations:
 
Associate’s degree required
Valid driver’s license required; Must be insurable and eligible to drive rental vehicles.
Community college experience preferred
Experience in working with individuals of all ages preferred
Experience in college admissions preferred
