POSITION: Machine Operator

EMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking multiple Machine Operators to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery used in the manufacturing process. The operator ensures that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while adhering to quality standards and operational procedures.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a range of machinery and equipment including lathes, mills, presses, grinders, and CNC machines.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure it operates within required specifications.
• Load and unload materials into and from machines as needed.
• Set up machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different types of materials and production requirements.
• Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
• Perform routine checks and adjustments to ensure product quality meets standards.
• Record and report any quality issues to supervisors or quality control personnel.
• Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues or malfunctions.
• Notify maintenance personnel or supervisors of major equipment problems.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safe machine operation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operations, production output, and maintenance activities.
• Report production metrics and any operational issues to supervisors.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with measuring tools.
