Job Title: Program Development Director
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Job Purpose:
The Program Development Director is responsible for the development and coordination of programs and events that advance organizational goals and objectives, as well as provides overall support services to the Chamber, its committees, and the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research, analyze and provide recommendations on programs and events to CEO which advance organization’s goals and objectives.
• Maintain calendar of, and produce and maintain task timelines for Chamber meetings, events, and programs.
• Attend Chamber committee meetings as assigned to provide support and maintain communications.
• Organize and arrange meetings, conferences, events, and project team activities.
• Oversee and coordinate Leadership Sheridan County (LSC) Program and serve as staff liaison to the LSC Steering Committee, to include preparation of agendas and minutes as needed.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Business Retention and Expansion Committee, to include coordination of committee activities as well as preparation of agendas and minutes as needed.
• Maintain timely communication with Chamber staff about upcoming Chamber meetings, events, and programs.
• Work with Chamber team to identify, contact and solicit participation for non-dues revenue programs.
• Develop and maintain network of active volunteers for Chamber functions and events.
• Attend Chamber events and programs and as necessary serve as point of contact beginning to end.
• Work with Chamber team to help produce informational and promotional materials for Chamber meetings, events, and programs.
• Assist Chamber team with coordination of other events as needed (i.e., Legislative and Candidate Forums, Buyers’ Dinner, etc.)
• Analyze and interpret program statistics and other data and produce relevant reports.
• Represent Chamber at conferences and events as deemed necessary by the CEO.
• Work with Chamber team to ensure customer relationship management database is updated with current and accurate information.
• Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between member businesses, committee members, visitors, and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.
• Interpret instructions and issues arising, making decisions and implementing actions according to administrative policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public. • Perform reception duties as needed in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
• Coordinate with other staff to ensure continuous coverage of office during regular business hours.
• As scheduled, complete weekly office recycling, cleaning, and organizing.
• Maintain consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
• Perform other related duties as required or directed by the Chief Executive Officer.*

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must possess excellent organizational skills, be self-motivated and be a team player that works well in an adapting environment.
• Must have strong attention to detail, excellent presentation skills and strong leadership skills.
• Must possess analytical, management and financial management abilities.
• Must have proven advanced computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, as well as experience with database programs and the ability to multi-task in unrelated areas.
• Must possess the ability to motivate others (volunteers) and work well independently as well as in a team environment.
• Must communicate in a strong, positive, and effective manner both verbally and non-verbally, with a strong writing ability.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and possess a valid driver’s license along with current automobile insurance.
• Must be capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
