Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the direction of licensed physical therapists to provide exceptional care across multiple settings/ environments. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working with patients of all ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities

- Implement individualized treatment plans established by supervising physical therapists.

-Deliver interventions for a variety of patient populations, including:
-
1) Orthopedic conditions (post-surgical, musculoskeletal, sports injuries)
-
2) Neurological diagnoses (stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, balance disorders)
-
3) Women’s health (pelvic floor, pre-/post-natal, osteoporosis)

4) Fall prevention/ balance and functional mobility training

- Support community-based services such as:

1) Home safety and accessibility assessments
-
2) Wheelchair seating and positioning evaluations (with PT guidance)
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR. -
- Collaborate with PTs and other team members to adjust care plans and ensure continuity of care.

- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on exercise programs, equipment, and self-management strategies.

- Participate in hybrid service delivery as appropriate.

- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and clinic policies and uphold professional standards.
Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

- Current Wyoming PTA license in good standing (or eligible for licensure).

- CPR/BLS certification.

- Strong interest in one or more of the following areas: orthopedics, neurology, women’s health, geriatrics, or community-based rehab.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- Comfort with technology (EMR, telehealth platforms) preferred.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community/home visits.
Preferred Experience
-
- Outpatient clinical experience (orthopedic, neuro,balance/ fall, etc).

- Experience with balance and fall prevention, home assessments, or adaptive equipment fitting (training provided if needed).
