Job Description
This person will be working with a team of 2-4 others in the packaging department. The majority of the work will be packaging meat and labeling those packages.  This person will also run some machines such as the sausage stuffer, tenderizer, patty machine and others. The smaller portion of the job duties is the last few hours of each day. This is spent cleaning the equipment and facility to be compliant with USDA standards.  Nearly all work is performed on your feet in the temperature-controlled area around 34 degrees for the day.  Must be able to physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.

This person will be taught:
-Basic cuts of meat (and what portion of the animal they come from) and how to recognize them
-The basics of USDA regulations and some associated forms

As needed, this person will:
-Help load out boxes to customers
-Assist in the brining of pork bellies and hams
-Mix sausage seasonings and assist in the making of sausage
