POSITION SUMMARY
Ucross Foundation is seeking an experienced and energetic housekeeper to join our team on our beautiful artist residency campus a half-hour from Sheridan and 20 minutes from Buffalo.
 
Essential duties will be to maintain a standard of excellence when cleaning. Good communications skills are key. Must relate well with coworkers, artists-in-residence, trustees, and the general public. Must have a valid driver’s license. Cleaning supplies will be provided.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a routine work schedule on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis for 8-10 buildings, including artist studios, kitchens, restrooms, bedrooms, offices, an art gallery, and a conference facility, as well as other buildings as needed
  • Communicates adequate inventory of cleaning/residency supplies
  • Assists with set-up and break-down of meetings, conferences, and community and special events as needed, as well as mid-conference support
  • Occasionally assists the chef with prep work and lunch delivery
  • Assists with events, as needed
  • Represents Ucross to the public with a positive attitude and demonstrates strong personal commitment to the organization’s mission and activities
  • Works well with fellow staff members, artists, board members, guests and others in a congenial and respectful way
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
  • Year-round, full-time, 30 hours per week
