Position:                            Land Surveyor, PLS
Position Location:            Sheridan, WY
 
Job description                 Preferred candidates would have 10 years of relevant survey experience.  Responsibilities will include some field work and travel along with supervision of topographical surveying, ROW surveys, construction staking, and boundary surveys.  Selected candidate would manage several oil and gas projects in the Sheridan area, and manage/mentor junior survey staff in the same office. This office has a busy survey schedule including oil and gas work, construction staking, topographic needs, and boundary work. Work includes both municipal and private clients.  Applicants must have a commitment to safe operations, be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, and have a clean driving record. 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Wyoming PLS certification or ability to achieve certification within one year.
  • Acceptable written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members
  • Acceptable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
  • Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule
  • Dependable, with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Oil and gas experience
  • Ability to travel for a number of days at a time
