We are seeking a passionate Language Arts Teacher to join our growing team at Valor Academy! The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills through a Biblical worldview.
 

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in Language Arts.
• Educate students on various aspects of language, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and creative writing.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Encourage research skills by guiding students in exploring literature and writing projects.
• Foster a love for reading through literary selections and discussions.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate cross-curricular approaches.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

• Proficiency in proofreading and editing student work to enhance writing quality.
• Experience or familiarity with Christian education is advantageous.
• Ability to conduct research effectively and guide students in their own research endeavors.

• Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning, grading, and classroom management.
