Client Service Representative - Mountain View Veterinary Hospital

The Hospital
Located in beautiful Sheridan, Wyoming, Mountain View Veterinary Hospital is a fully equipped veterinary facility staffed with an experienced and professional crew. We pride ourselves on compassionate care for patients and clients, and communicating with clients is a top priority for our crew. As our Lead Veterinary Technician, you will have the opportunity to not only grow your own leadership and skills, but help train and grow your crew as well!
- Hours of operation: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm
- Fully equipped surgical suite with licensed veterinary technicians for all procedures, including orthopedics
- Digital dental radiography and dental suite
- In-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound
- 24-hour emergency services

The Position
Essential Job Functions: The following are the essential duties and responsibilities required for this position. The candidate must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
Client Service
- Welcoming clients and providing exceptional customer service
- Attentive to client and patient needs speaking clearly, calmly and slowly
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional telephone and email communication.
- Scheduling appointments and procedures
- Maintain proper documentation of client and pet records
- Requesting and organizing medical records to and from referring practices
- Handling financial transactions and following proper opening and closing procedures
- Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, pet health needs, treatment recommendations and all other hospital services/procedures.
- Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect
- Monitor client flow from check-in to discharge, prioritizing tasks in an organized manner
- May assist with retail sales and weigh pets when arriving for appointments
- May be exposed to sick or fractious animals, zoonotic diseases, hazardous materials, and cleaning chemicals.
- Depending on the functional area of the assignment, tasks may involve extended periods of time at a computer or workstation, extended periods of time standing or walking
- Tasks may involve kneeling, crawling, bending, balancing and crouching.
- Tasks may involve periods of moderately physically demanding work involving lifting or transporting moderately heavy animals (up to 50 lbs)

The Candidate
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous veterinary/hospital experience is encouraged but not required.
- Basic computer skills. Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and client communication skills.
- Ability to perform great customer service and process payment transactions accurately.
- Must display empathy and compassion to clients and patients, especially during difficult and emotional situations.
- Ability to maintain calm and professional composure in stressful situations.
- Close attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Flexible about the schedule as it may include some weekend and evening shifts.
- Comply with OSHA standards
