Commercial Loan Assistant

Position Location: Sheridan, WY
 
Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
 
Education/Certifications/Licenses: High school education or GED
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Provide and promote exceptional customer service.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Work with loan processors to assist with pre-file loan processing
  • Ensure compliance to applicable regulations and keep up to date on all changes in lending regulations and requirements
  • Monitor and report past dues, and offer support in loan collection activities
  • Coordinate with clients to collect information (financial and credit data) required to prepare loan presentations and close/fund loans
  • Coordinate with clients and staff to support Commercial Lending on loan related activity and support construction lending duties.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the commercial sales staff
  • Create, manage and maintain a calendar, including a range of internal and external meetings, requiring frequent re-prioritization and shifting appointments for the Commercial Lending Department
  • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, reviewing, copying, and transmitting data
  • Prepare correspondence on behalf of the Commercial Lending department; read, research and route correspondence; draft letters and documents; collect and analyze information
  • May include serving as Receptionist in a backup role
  • Assist with customer’s loan payments and services such as online access or other commercial banking needs. No cash shall be handled by this position in a matter of maintaining any sort of cash drawer
  • Attend and participate in training and bank meetings
  • Enter loans into origination system
  • Work with correspondent bank officers, realtors, attorneys, brokers, and clients as necessary
  • Answer telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and loan/lease information
  • Assist with loan file documentation preparation and quality control review
  • Support with tasks related to daily/weekly/quarterly duties as assigned, not limited to expense reports, problem loan reports, construction reports, etc.
  • Assist in other areas of lending as needed
