Position Overview:
As the Veterinary Practice Manager, your primary purpose and function is to manage the hospital and ensure that we provide the highest quality of veterinary care to our patients and exceptional customer service to our clients. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maximizing both employee engagement and the productivity of the veterinary medical team.
In partnership with the leadership team (practice owner, medical director, lead technician) the practice manager ensures good communication with clients, associates, and employees to optimize the growth of the business. The practice manager also partners with the leadership team to operate an effective and productive hospital team, ensure a safe and engaging hospital environment, and improve the hospital's medical quality and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the veterinary practice
- Manage and support veterinary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure exceptional client service and address client concerns
- Maintain accurate financial records, including budgeting and payroll
- Develop and implement practice policies and procedures
- Coordinate marketing efforts and community outreach
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards
- Involvement in the hiring process in coordination with leadership team
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a veterinary practice manager or in a similar role within a veterinary or medical practice
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adept at conflict management and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in veterinary practice management software
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and payroll
- Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations
- Passion for animal care and client service
