Are you passionate about working as part of a team? The Hub Support Center is recruiting for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Program Assistant. Join us in our mission to support older adults in their homes.

A successful candidate will possess strong communication and telephone skills, have demonstrated computer expertise and the ability to learn new programs, outstanding team interaction, a high standard of ethics, and attention to detail.

This position works approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. Other hours may vary on occasion. The rate of pay is $12.50-14.00 per hour depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Computer and software experience
• Experience working with the public
• Experience providing services to older adults and/or people with disabilities and their families is desirable

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Program Assistant
LOCATION: 211 Smith Street
REPORTS TO: Support Center Coordinator


Position Overview:
The Support Center Program Assistant works with staff and customers to ensure service excellence. This position works directly with the Support Center Coordinator to support the team with administrative needs, make client referrals to other programs, and can travel to client’s homes if necessary.

Essential Job Functions Include:
• Responsible for answering the Support Center phone, and directing calls to appropriate team member
• Provides assistance to team members as needed
• Builds new client profiles and update in Serve Tracker as needed
• Provides direct support to the Support Center Coordinator and other Support Center programs as needed – Older Relative Caregiver Program, Loan Closet, Community Outreach and Wyoming Home Services
• Regularly provides one-on-one assistance to older adults and their families with information and services to promote independence, quality of life and dignity
• Reports concerns of health and safety regarding an individual or the program to supervisor immediately
• Performs client satisfaction calls and follow-up
• Cooperatively works with all departments to ensure that patron’s needs are met and the goals and objectives of The Hub on Smith are met
• Routinely required to travel utilizing personal vehicle with current license and insurance
• Assists clients with completing applications, government forms, and connecting them to community resources
• Supports and upholds the organizations cultural values: Service Excellence, Respect, Professionalism, Optimism, and Collaboration
• Maintains policy and procedures, confidentiality, and HIPAA
• Participate in the weekly staff meeting
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
• Performs computer data entry and telephone work for extended periods of time

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to handle more than one task at a time
• Provide exceptional internal and external customer service in person and by phone
• Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing and maintain a calm presence in stressful situations
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to apply good listening skills, follow instructions, manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
Possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and have experience working with the public, older adults &/or people with disabilities.
