Join our team on Main Street! Urban Thrift is looking for a Donations Coordinator. Do you have an eye for spotting a hidden treasure? Enjoy organizing and staging in a retail setting? This could be the perfect position for you!

Position works 24 hours per week, Monday through Saturday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Rate of pay is $14.00 per hour.

Requires full range of motion and ability to lift, transfer and position objects. Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

POSITION: Donations Coordinator for Urban Thrift
LOCATION: 226 North Main Street
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
Essential Job Functions Include:

• Responsible for developing & maintaining procedures for accepting, sorting, pricing donations.
• Responsible for processing donated items, rotation of items and disposal of donated items in a timely fashion
        o Processes include: sorting, preparing, displaying, and disposing of donated items; providing leadership to sorting             volunteers; setting standards for merchandise and communicates standards when needed
• Assists store manager with maintaining and increasing knowledge of resale, thrift, consignment and retail trends through daily reading (email list serves, publications) and participation in webinars, advisory committee meetings, and periodic offsite trainings

• Assists store manager with assessing the store’s need for volunteers and staff
• Responsible for training sorting volunteers.
• Responsible for maintaining donation schedule and/or appointments.
• Maintains current knowledge of agency policies and procedures related to personnel; monitors volunteers and staff for adherence to policies and procedures. When needed, coordinates with store manager for corrective action.
• Provides monthly sign in sheets for sorting volunteers to track hours for month end report. Gives monthly sign in sheets to store manager.
• Adheres to organization policies and procedures regarding safety and ensures that sorting volunteers comply also
• Models organizations cultural values and holds fellow employees to the same standards

• Promotes excellence in customer service for ALL visitors to the store
• Ensures that customers have a positive, enjoyable shopping experience
• May be asked to assist in store when needed

• Attend hub staff meetings and training as requested

• May be required to sit at a computer for periods of time to complete responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
