POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Finance is responsible for the leadership and direction of the financial business management for the organization under the general direction of the President/CEO. The ideal candidate will ethically and professionally plan, organize, staff, and direct all the activities of the corporate financial functions. They will properly maintain the corporate records and carry out supervision of all accounting functions. Compiling and delivering timely financial data to the President and key managers is a critical aspect of the role to support informed decision making and meet the organization’s strategic objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Participates with management in establishing corporate financial objectives, operating plans/policies and strategic direction.
- Continually evaluates the organization’s financial position and issues regular financial and operating reports.
- Recommends and develops financial plans and practices for management controls to enable achievement of forecasted revenue, profit, growth, stability, and ownership transition of the business.
- Communicates the corporation’s financial position to the Board of Directors at each scheduled board meeting.
- Assists the President and Board of Directors in developing corporate objectives and plans for pricing techniques, project costs, indirect administrative costs, and overhead project compensation fees.
- Responsible for accounting operations, payroll processing, cost accounting, financial statements and reports, provisions for taxes, purchasing and property records.
- Assists in the development and monitoring of the corporate budget.
- Administers the pension and profit-sharing plans.
- Administers the organization's liability insurance program.
- Assures full communication, understanding, and adherence to financial expectations, including operating policies and procedures to all business managers.
- Develops anticipated cash flow projections for frequent review and maintenance of cash requirements.
- Interprets monthly operating results and their effect on the financial aspects of the organization and makes specific recommendations to management for cost reduction and profit improvement.
- Partners with Human Resources on benefits administration and regulatory compliance.
- Directs and manages the corporation's investments to ensure appropriate return on investment and availability of adequate working capital for the corporation.
-Serves as Corporate Treasurer as selected by the Board of Directors.
- Serves as a member of the Executive Team along with the President/CEO, Director of Operations, and Human Resources Manager.
- Responsible for oversight of corporate and state registrations and business licenses.
- Performs all other administrative responsibilities and tasks assigned by the President. These tasks do not meet the Americans with Disabilities Act definition of essential job functions and are usually less than 5% of time spent.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; preferably an MBA or master’s in finance/accounting.
- CPA or CMA would be highly advantageous.
- Minimum of10 years’ experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, CFO, or similar role within a technical services organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop financial strategic plans, evaluate operational statements, manage balance sheets and provide financial analyses and recommendations.
- Familiarity with GAAP or IFRS, federal/state tax laws, business licensing and registration processes. - High proficiency in utilizing and advancing financial software systems
- Clear, concise communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with peers and management across the organization.
- Maintains high integrity and ethical standards.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
-Annual starting salary range of $140,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience.
-Annual discretionary bonuses and overtime compensation.
